Welding Technology

Welding Technology 1,2,3,4
Welding is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge to effectively perform cutting and welding applications used in the construction industry or in advanced manufacturing. Students will develop proficiency in fundamental safety practices in welding, interpreting drawings, creating computer aided drawings, identifying and using joint designs, efficiently laying out parts for fabrication.
 
This program will provide the students with skills in basic Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), Flux core arc welding (FCAW), Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), as well as quality control methods.

We are currently in the process of giving students the opportunity to earn welding training certificates through the AWS SENSE program.

  • SENSE – Schools Excelling through National Skills Education
  • AWS SENSE
 
Students also have the opportunity to earn college credits  in the Welding program through Midlands Technical college, if they choose to continue their Welding education after high school. This will be classes/credits they will not have to attend or pay for.

Students also have the opportunity to possibly have a job waiting for them when they graduate. We have agreements with various companies in the Midlands to hire our students when they graduate and complete our Welding program.
